Log #28 1/2
But on a real note, my teammate and I are, to be quite honest, basically done with our robot. Our class right before break was the biggest breakthrough we've had all year. With the help of Ms. Green, I was able to reconstruct our claw to make it stable, reliable, and controllable. I was absolutely thrilled by this, seeing as the claw is crucial to our operation and has been giving us quite a bit of trouble throughout the year. By completely removing the claw, changing the gears, and adding more structural support, the claw was able to be the functional, durable claw we initially intended for it to be. Because of this, the only other adjustments we need to make to the robot are to construct and add the soil tray. This will be easy consideirng we have already taken measurements and discussed possible materials. That being said, the next several classes will consist of merely constructing the soil tray, attaching it to the robot, and practicing Big Rhonda. We are very happy with the direction Big Rhonda is heading in and we cannot wait to see the final product.
