Log #24
Yesterday's class was unfortunately a bit of a wash for Team Big Rhonda. The period was supposed to be spent attaching an arm onto the rotating gears. Unfortunately, after fiddling with the robot it became apparent that I did not have the knowledge necessary to complete said task. As a result, I then proceeded to research images and videos of robotics claws in the hopes of finding an example worth imitating. This was an equally depressing task because I could not seem to find any models worth replicating and if they were, the camera angle was at such a precarious location that the workings of the claw could not be seen. I realized that I was going to need to recruit the minds of the lovely human beings that spend their time making robots, thinking about making robots, and talking about robots on the VEX forum. I then went ahead and made an account on the VEX robotics site to consult with said nerd herd to ask for assistance, but unfortunately my account had not yet been approved and I was therefore not allowed to post my question. This dilemma will hopefully be rectified today. Since my partner is back in school, today we will work on researching ways to successfully attach a fully rotational robotic claw to Big Rhonda. Wish us luck!
